During the workshop for making a quilt square for our hope of peace in the Middle East, I felt overwhelming sadness and struggled to say something hopeful in my attempt.
The recent death of my mother inspired me to ask for an end to the suffering on all sides of the conflict everywhere.
We cannot forget but we must not continue to add to the world's pain.
May we reach into our souls and find the peace that is the best legacy to leave to our children.
If only we will love them enough.
